How to Change Background in Google Meet?

Here are the simple steps you can follow to set up your Google Meet virtual background with Chromacam:

*You must ensure that you have Intel 4th generation or higher (or AMD equivalent) with AVX2 and OpenCL 1.2 instruction set support before running Chromacam on your PC.

Step 1: Visit the official ChromaCam website and download it. You can download the tool at this link:

Step 2: Once you have Chromecam installed on your computer, you need to register and log in to the service using your email.

Step 3: Now, go to the link here in Google Meet.

Step 4: If you are hosting a meeting, you can click ‘Start a meeting’ or ‘Join’ if you are a participant.

Before joining or starting a new meeting, click the three-dot button for “More options”. Then click on ‘Settings’ to configure your camera.

Step 5: On the Video tab, click on the drop-down menu under ‘Camera’. Change the camera to ChromaCam AVS (this option will be available after you have installed ChromaCam on your computer).

Step 6: A new ChromaCam window will appear on your screen, allowing you to choose the background and adjust various parameters including Filter, Slide, and Blur level. Choose a background and make any necessary adjustments.

Step 7: Once you’ve set up a new background, simply minimize the pop-up and you’re done.

Step 8: Now you can join your meeting with a new virtual background.

How to Add Virtual Funds to Google Meet on Android, iPhone, and iPad

Unfortunately, you can’t completely change the background of the Google Meet mobile app. However, you can blur the background as shown below. But for this, some conditions have to be fulfilled. Them:

You must be using an Android device running Android 9.0 Pie or higher.

You must have an iPhone 6s or newer with iOS 12 and higher.

Your Android device must have at least 3GB of RAM, 4 CPU cores, 1.6GHz CPU clock speed, and ARM64 architecture.

To blur the background before inserting the video, select the meeting or add the meeting code. You will see your point of view. Touch the Blur your background icon. A preview will appear. If you like it, click Join now to join the meeting. Alternatively, press the same button to turn it off.

If you’ve already joined a meeting, tap your video preview. Then tap on Blur Your Background icon to enable background blur. Use the same option to disable it.

If you are on your desktop/laptop, go to meet.google.com and sign in with your Google account. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen and click the ‘Manage your Google’ button.

Can I change my background to a custom option in the Google Meet apps?
