There is nothing more sacred in World of Warcraft than your name. It’s the first thing players see of you, and your raid leader will call you by name when you catch fire and ruin the fight.
To avoid that kind of stress on day one, Blizzard opened a classic World of Warcraft game a while back. Players can now reserve their own server, character class, race, and name.
To start the process, you’ll need to open the Battle.net client, find World of Warcraft, and change the version to World of Warcraft Classic. If you have multiple World of Warcraft accounts, you may need to change them as well.
When you’re in the game, select the server, faction, race, and class. You can completely customize your character’s appearance, as well as his or her name. Please note that you must have an active World of Warcraft subscription to reserve your classic characters.
The Blizzard blog post for the name reservation feature provides some important things to consider before creating your character.
Players who choose to play on a PvP server can only create characters from their designated faction on that server.
Many of Blizzard’s recent cross-reality QoL changes aren’t just for the World of Warcraft Classic. Choose your region and faction with your friends before deciding or risk not being able to play with them in World of Warcraft Classic.
Since World of Warcraft: Classic is expected to be a fairly popular game, be sure to create a character in about two hours. Names are likely to move fast, as these titles always do.

The process is very simple. Here’s a quick way to log into WoW Classic and reserve your preferred name.
Here’s the login screen once you’ve created a character and reserved a name. It’s as simple as that. And remember, you can reserve up to three characters per account.
Blizzard also states that all of your characters on PvP servers must align with the same faction. This is a reasonable limit. Otherwise, you can increase the PvP target range on your gang character and then quickly switch to the Ambush Alliance.
If you want to pre-create your characters, you’ll first need to download and install the Battle.net client and then click on World of Warcraft. Once done, select World of Warcraft: Classic from the Edit menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, a second drop-down menu will appear for the account. Use this to select the active account you want to play with.
Once you’ve got it installed and running, you’ll need to select the area you want to play in and create a new character. This will allow you to choose your faction, class, and caste, fully customize your new character, and then name it. You can change your mind and remove one of the three characters if you want to make a new one. Just keep in mind that this will make the name associated with that character available for other players to claim again.
Blizzard recommends that you gather your allies when choosing your new home state. There’s even a classic dating forum where you can reconnect with old friends and guildmates.
Blizzard hasn’t announced any release plans on other platforms. Are you ready to go back to the best MMORPG ever? Are you going to bring new friends or are you going to meet older people? Leave your comments below and let us know your plans!
By considering the name reservation steps above, you can easily choose to create a character and a name. This will allow you to easily identify your character with the help of the name and not get confused when finding it.
Try to be careful when selecting the steps above so that you have a secure name reservation and while creating three characters.
